Propensity score is the estimated probability that a given observation would have gotten treated.

• Used for inverse probability weighting
• Usually estimated by regression

Curse of dimensionality?

• Penalized regression (e.g. ridge, LASSO)
• Boosted regression: poor estimates given higher weights
